Meet Janet Phillips

She and her husband Caleb raise corn, wheat, soybeans, and cattle on their family farm near Cherryvale, KS. They farm with Caleb’s father and grandfather, each farm operating financially independently but sharing in equipment and workload.

Over the past decade, Janet says the family farm has been blessed with opportunities to grow, tripling in size, but always staying true to their roots as a family-owned business. She is passionate about caring for her land and animals, and producing safe and healthy food is a top priority on her family’s farm.

When she takes a break from working around the farm, Janet enjoys cooking, photography, blogging, running and gardening.

Janet joined the CommonGround™ Kansas team in fall 2017. She enjoys having conversations with grocery shoppers who want to better understand how their food is raised and take the fear out of food choices.
