Jenny Burgess CommonGround Kansas Volunteer

MEet Jenny Burgess

She and her husband Geoff are a first-generation farm family farming near Sterling, KS. Geoff emigrated from England to pursue better opportunities in the United States. Together, the couple co-own and operate their central Kansas farm, where they grow corn, soybeans, wheat, sorghum and cover crops.

Jenny says she’s just as busy as the next mom, she just wears boots! She enjoys telling stories from her perspective on the farm, where she’s passionate about raising her children and working in agriculture. Jenny recognizes that there are many questions about the food we feed our families and is eager to share how she produces safe, nutritious food on her farm.

When she takes a break from working around the farm, Jenny enjoys baking, cooking, writing and blogging, photography and fitness activities.

Jenny joined the CommonGround™ Kansas team in fall 2016. She is passionate about transparency and telling the story of how her family grows food responsibly on their farm.
